The article below is from the Revival Waves of Glory Ministries website. This in my estimation has to be one of the best con jobs of selling one's beliefs to another that I have ever read. Though claiming to have "proof"....but never presenting any of it, just saying they have it, most of the conjecture is that we have to give the "benefit of doubt" instead of proof. Also presented is the "understanding" that the Bible has to be the Final Authority, and I believe that also...but, the Bible shows no instances of Gold Dust appearing on anyone or gold teeth appearing on anyone's mouth. It does talk a lot about gold but gold in the Biblical instances is gold either used as money or as a material used to build something or plate with, etc. Read the article and then give me your take on what it says.
Blessings to each of you,
Gold Dust, Gold Teeth, Gold Flakes,....
Are they real??
8 The silver [is] mine, and the gold [is] mine, saith the LORD of
hosts. - HAGGAI 2:8
Prior to 1998, manifestations of "gold dust" on hands and other parts
of the body has been reported occasionally in some Toronto Blessing
meetings. These are what appeared to be tiny specks of gold appearing
in the hands, where wiping the hands has the effect of depositing the
gold specks on clothing. Like most Toronto Blessing manifestations,
this appears to be transferrable - that is by prayer and/or by simple
contact, others do exhibit this manifestation.
Back in October 1998 during a Randy Clark meeting in Oklahoma City, my
wife reported gold dust appearing in the hands of one woman. Upon
wiping her hands on her clothing, the gold dust appeared to have been
deposited upon her clothing and yet the amount of the dust on her
hands seem to remain constant - as if the gold dust spontaneously
reappear after wiping on clothing. This woman then started laying her
hands on anyone around her lining up to receive the blessing - and
many others reported the appearance of gold dust on their own hands!!!
Then a few weeks later during the Catch The Fire conference at
Naturally this created a lot of interest!! By the end of the
conference, people were bringing along flash lights, looking into each
others mouths seeing if yet more gold had appeared therein.
Photographic and video records of these miracles were made.
It wasn't very long until this news spread to other Christian churches
worldwide - furthermore, other churches embracing the Toronto Blessing
also reported "gold teeth" manifestations occuring during their
meetings. A video detailing the manifestations at Toronto was being
circulated worldwide, and in many cases, people watching the video
reported "gold teeth" manifestations occuring in their mouths!!
Along with the "gold teeth" manifestations, occurences of gold dust,
gold flakes and etc increased worldwide. Gold dust were reportedly
appearing not only in hands, but also on the face and in the hair.
There were even reports of gold flakes appearing in the pages of their
Bibles!! Not only gold, but manifestations of silver and even diamonds
has been reported.
What The Pharisees Are Saying
Of course and as with most other aspects of the Toronto Blessing,
Pharisees and other critics had much to say about this "new wave" of
gold manifestations. Many
In almost every case, Pharisees cast doubts on the authenticity of
gold manifestations, demanding scientific "proof" in every case. They
also claim proof that "gold dust" manifestations are nothing but the
normal "gold glitter" that is readily available in most stores.
Furthermore, they claim
THE FACTS ON GOLD
My aim in this section on gold manifestations is to cut through
Pharisees' claims and present the TRUE FACTS on gold and the reports
on gold manifestations. As true Bereans, we should study the
Scriptures to ascertain the significance of gold in the Scriptures and
check whether gold manifestations are consistent with Scriptural
principles. In many cases, it is helpful to have samples of gold dust
sent away to be scientifically tested, and to have reports of gold
teeth miracles verified by dentists. However we must recognise that
the Scriptures are our FINAL authority in all matters including that
of gold manifestations.
Let us explore as Bereans the facts on gold and gold
manifestations......

GOLD Manifestations - Genuine? or Fake?
 The Case Of Silvania Machado
So does the Machado affair prove that the Toronto Blessing is of
Satan? Does it mean therefore all gold manifestations are suspect? Do
we have to PROVE scientifically EVERY instance of gold manifestation?
Do the Pharisees have a reason to celebrate?? :) :) :)
The answer in every case is NO !!!!!!! In the Machado affair, we have
no proof whatsoever that she is deliberately faking the manifestation,
we only have proof that the dust from her hair is not gold!!!! In the
other instances were "gold manifestations" turned out to be not
authenticated miracles, we have no proof whatsoever of any deliberate
attempts to fabricate the gold manifestations, only evidence of the
shortcomings of human nature!!
Furthermore, the true Bereans will not need to have each and every
case of gold manifestations sampled and taken for scientific analysis.
The Bereans need only to prove whether Scriptural principles are
violated or not. We need to study the Scriptural significance of gold,
and view the gold manifestations in this light. We need to realise it
is not always possible to scientifically test each and every gold
manifestation, but to give the benefit of the doubt.
For example, when confronted with an apparent manifestation of gold
dust in one's hand, we may question whether it is simply just
perspiration glistening in the light, but if the person seems certain
that it is indeed gold, we need to give him the benefit of the doubt.
We must not be like the Pharisees who automatically assume every gold
manifestation is a fabrication designed to maintain interest in the
Toronto Blessing (after people supposedly grow tired of holy laughter,
drunkeness, and laying on the carpet!!).
True it is that "gold dust on the hand" could just be perspiration
glistening in the light, however when the hand is wiped on clothing
leaving what appears to be a trail of "gold dust", then we can be sure
we are dealing with something that is NOT just perspiration - we are
dealing with a genuine manifestation here - it could be gold, it could
be just a trail of God's Shekinah glory!!!!
Many ask a valid question regarding gold teeth manifestations..... Can
the common mercury amalgam fillings somehow turn to gold by natural
means?
Other questions that may be asked...... Can we make gold from other
metals? Can people somehow cause the amalgam fillings to turn to gold?
Can gold be somehow "faked" in teeth? And just what is so special
about gold anyway??
These are all valid questions, and in order to answer these questions,
we need to explore what science has discovered about gold - the
physical and chemical properties of gold.
Just what is "gold" anyway??
Let us explore further......
 Why GOLD Can't Be "Made"
List of the Properties of GOLD
Now we have seen that gold simply can't be "made", nor are there any
natural processes that would turn amalgam fillings into gold nor are
there any natural processes that would cause gold to be extracted from
our bodies onto hands, hair, etc.
Therefore regarding the gold miracles at Toronto and elsewhere, we are
more than likely witnessing a process of supernatural origins, or at
the very least, something unexplained by science is at work here.
The question remains, given the supernatural origins of the gold
phenomenon, is it of God or Satan?? Rather than relying on our
preconceived ideas on the Toronto Blessing, particularly on Pharisees'
claims that the Toronto Blessing is of Satan, we as BEREANS need to
see what the SCRIPTURES say about gold!! How is gold viewed in
Scriptures? Are there any Scriptural precedence for this current wave
of gold miracles? Are gold miracles contrary to Scriptural principles?
Let us as Bereans search the Scriptures on gold......
What The SCRIPTURES Say About
GOLD
God's Word on GOLD
8 The silver [is] mine, and the gold [is] mine, saith the LORD of
hosts. - HAGGAI 2:8
GOLD IN THE BIBLE
Of course the Scriptures has much to say about gold! There are at
least 415 references in the Bible to gold. The first two are given
below.....
11 The name of the first [is] Pison: that [is] it which compasseth the
whole land of Havilah, where [there is] gold;
12 And the gold of that land [is] good: there [is] bdellium and the
onyx stone.
GENESIS 2:11-12
This is part of the description of the Garden of Eden, when God
created the universe and set Adam and Eve in the garden. The
expression in verse 12 "the gold of that land is good" could very well
be referring to the fact that we're talking about 24-carat gold here -
this is 100% pure gold - the purity of gold forming in teeth fillings
and as gold dust manifestations. This is a reasonable conclusion given
that what God creates is "very good", that is, perfect!!!!
GOLD AS CURRENCY AND A MEASURE OF WEALTH
It probably wasn't very long until gold was first used as a measure of
one's wealth, certainly after the Flood if not before it. The next
mention of gold in the Scriptures is given in this context.....
2 And Abram [was] very rich in cattle, in silver, and in gold.
GENESIS 13:2
Here we see that Abram was very rich - had a great abundance of -
livestock, silver and gold. Furthermore, gold was given as a gift as a
mark of great respect, or a means of gaining favor......
22 And it came to pass, as the camels had done drinking, that the man
took a golden earring of half a shekel weight, and two bracelets for
her hands of ten [shekels] weight of gold;
35 And the LORD hath blessed my master greatly; and he is become
great: and he hath given him flocks, and herds, and silver, and gold,
and menservants, and maidservants, and camels, and asses.
53 And the servant brought forth jewels of silver, and jewels of gold,
and raiment, and gave [them] to Rebekah: he gave also to her brother
and to her mother precious things.
GENESIS 24:22,35,53
42 And Pharaoh took off his ring from his hand, and put it upon
Joseph's hand, and arrayed him in vestures of fine linen, and put a
gold chain about his neck;
GENESIS 41:42
And eventually used as a form of currency......
8 Behold, the money, which we found in our sacks' mouths, we brought
again unto thee out of the land of Canaan: how then should we steal
out of thy lord's house silver or gold?
GENESIS 44:8
When the Israelites were to be set free from slavery in Egypt, to be
brought into the promised land of Canaan, God had them to take with
them all of the gold that the Egyptians possessed....
22 But every woman shall borrow of her neighbour, and of her that
sojourneth in her house, jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and
raiment: and ye shall put [them] upon your sons, and upon your
daughters; and ye shall spoil the Egyptians.
EXODUS 3:22
2 Speak now in the ears of the people, and let every man borrow of his
neighbour, and every woman of her neighbour, jewels of silver, and
jewels of gold.
EXODUS 11:2
35 And the children of Israel did according to the word of Moses; and
they borrowed of the Egyptians jewels of silver, and jewels of gold,
and raiment:
EXODUS 12:35
GOLD IN WORSHIP
Gold was also commonly used in the worshipping of idols. While in the
wilderness on their way to the promised land, the Israelites were
commanded not to make idols of gold.....
23 Ye shall not make with me gods of silver, neither shall ye make
unto you gods of gold.
EXODUS 20:23
However, gold was to be offered to God as a mark of worship to
Him.....
3 And this [is] the offering which ye shall take of them; gold, and
silver, and brass,
EXODUS 25:3
5 Take ye from among you an offering unto the LORD: whosoever [is] of
a willing heart, let him bring it, an offering of the LORD; gold, and
silver, and brass,
EXODUS 35:5
GOLD IN THE ARK AND TABERNACLE
And both the Ark and the Tabernacle in which God dwelt were to be
decorated in gold. For example, referring to the Ark.....
11 And thou shalt overlay it with pure gold, within and without shalt
thou overlay it, and shalt make upon it a crown of gold round about.
12 And thou shalt cast four rings of gold for it, and put [them] in
the four corners thereof; and two rings [shall be] in the one side of
it, and two rings in the other side of it.
13 And thou shalt make staves [of] shittim wood, and overlay them with
gold.
17 And thou shalt make a mercy seat [of] pure gold: two cubits and a
half [shall be] the length thereof, and a cubit and a half the breadth
thereof.
18 And thou shalt make two cherubims [of] gold, [of] beaten work shalt
thou make them, in the two ends of the mercy seat.
EXODUS 25:11-13,17-18
And regarding the Tabernacle.....
6 And thou shalt make fifty taches of gold, and couple the curtains
together with the taches: and it shall be one tabernacle.
27 And five bars for the boards of the other side of the tabernacle,
and five bars for the boards of the side of the tabernacle, for the
two sides westward.
28 And the middle bar in the midst of the boards shall reach from end
to end.
29 And thou shalt overlay the boards with gold, and make their rings
[of] gold [for] places for the bars: and thou shalt overlay the bars
with gold.
32 And thou shalt hang it upon four pillars of shittim [wood] overlaid
with gold: their hooks [shall be of] gold, upon the four sockets of
silver.
37 And thou shalt make for the hanging five pillars [of] shittim
[wood], and overlay them with gold, [and] their hooks [shall be of]
gold: and thou shalt cast five sockets of brass for them.
EXODUS 26:6,27-29,32,37
And God had raised up someone gifted in the craftmanship of gold to
help build the Tabernacle.....
1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
2 See, I have called by name Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur,
of the tribe of Judah:
3 And I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in
understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship,
4 To devise cunning works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in
brass,
EXODUS 31:1-4
ISRAEL'S REBELLION
However, sadly, the Israelites rebelled against God while Moses was up
in the mountain and made themselves a calf made of gold, to worship
it....
2 And Aaron said unto them, Break off the golden earrings, which [are]
in the ears of your wives, of your sons, and of your daughters, and
bring [them] unto me.
3 And all the people brake off the golden earrings which [were] in
their ears, and brought [them] unto Aaron.
4 And he received [them] at their hand, and fashioned it with a
graving tool, after he had made it a molten calf: and they said, These
[be] thy gods, O Israel, which brought thee up out of the land of
Egypt.
31 And Moses returned unto the LORD, and said, Oh, this people have
sinned a great sin, and have made them gods of gold.
EXODUS 32:2-4,31
GOLD AS BLESSING FROM GOD
Gold was often seen as a sign of blessing from God, with the need to
thank God for it.....
10 When thou hast eaten and art full, then thou shalt bless the LORD
thy God for the good land which he hath given thee.
11 Beware that thou forget not the LORD thy God, in not keeping his
commandments, and his judgments, and his statutes, which I command
thee this day:
12 Lest [when] thou hast eaten and art full, and hast built goodly
houses, and dwelt [therein];
13 And [when] thy herds and thy flocks multiply, and thy silver and
thy gold is multiplied, and all that thou hast is multiplied;
14 Then thine heart be lifted up, and thou forget the LORD thy God,
which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of
bondage;
DEUTERONOMY 8:10-14
And gold was a much sought after spoil of victory in war!!
24 And they burnt the city with fire, and all that [was] therein: only
the silver, and the gold, and the vessels of brass and of iron, they
put into the treasury of the house of the LORD.
JOSHUA 6:24
24 And Gideon said unto them, I would desire a request of you, that ye
would give me every man the earrings of his prey. (For they had golden
earrings, because they [were] Ishmaelites.)
26 And the weight of the golden earrings that he requested was a
thousand and seven hundred [shekels] of gold; beside ornaments, and
collars, and purple raiment that [was] on the kings of Midian, and
beside the chains that [were] about their camels' necks.
JOSHUA 8:24,26
Now jumping to the New Testament......
GIFT TO BABY JESUS
Gold was one of the gifts given to the infant Jesus by the wise men
from the east....
11 And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child
with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they
had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and
frankincense, and myrrh.
MATTHEW 2:11
SYMBOLISM OF GOLD IN THE CHRISTIAN LIFE
Gold also has spiritual significance for the Christian.....
11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is
Jesus Christ.
12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious
stones, wood, hay, stubble;
13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare
it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every
man's work of what sort it is.
I CORINTHIANS 3:11-13
The work that we genuinely do for God is likened to gold which will
survive the fire of God's judgment. Such a genuine work is precious,
like gold.
Likewise in this passage below....
20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of
silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to
dishonour.
21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel
unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, [and] prepared
unto every good work.
II TIMOTHY 2:20-21
"great house" is the Church, "vessels" are the Christians. The
"vessels of gold" are those who have been through fiery trials and
were tried and found to be pure in God - such "vessels" would be a
precious as gold to God.
And.... churches are symbolised as "candlesticks of gold"....
20 The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand,
and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of
the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are
the seven churches.
REVELATION 1:20
GOLD IS NOT EVERYTHING!!
The Scriptures do keep gold in it's proper perspective. We are taught
in the Scripture below just WHO is far more precious than gold....
2 And a certain man lame from his mother's womb was carried, whom they
laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask
alms of them that entered into the temple;
3 Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms.
4 And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us.
5 And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them.
6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have
give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.
7 And he took him by the right hand, and lifted [him] up: and
immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.
ACTS 3:2-7
Furthermore, Christian women are not to be overly arrayed with gold
jewellery.....
9 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel,
with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or
pearls, or costly array;
I TIMOTHY 2:9
3 Whose adorning let it not be that outward [adorning] of plaiting the
hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel;
4 But [let it be] the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not
corruptible, [even the ornament] of a meek and quiet spirit, which is
in the sight of God of great price.
I PETER 3:3-4
Nor are we to look on outward appearences even if it involves
gold.....
2 For if there come unto your assembly a man with a gold ring, in
goodly apparel, and there come in also a poor man in vile raiment;
3 And ye have respect to him that weareth the gay clothing, and say
unto him, Sit thou here in a good place; and say to the poor, Stand
thou there, or sit here under my footstool:
4 Are ye not then partial in yourselves, and are become judges of evil
thoughts?
JAMES 2:2-4
GOLD IN THE END TIMES
The "church age" beginning at Pentecost and ending in the Tribulation
period just ahead of us is marked by seven broad church eras described
in Revelation chapters 2 and 3. The final church era - the era which
we are in now - is the Laodicean era. God is displeased with the
Laodicean church....
14 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These
things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of
the creation of God;
15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou
wert cold or hot.
16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will
spue thee out of my mouth.
17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have
need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and
miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
REVELATION 3:14-17
and He commands them to.....
18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou
mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and
[that] the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes
with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.
REVELATION 3:18
However, gold is an important element in the seventh (the final)
resurrection of the "Holy Roman Empire", currently manifesting today
is the German-led European union.
3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a
woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy,
having seven heads and ten horns.
REVELATION 17:3
"woman" = church. In this case, the great false church behind the
Roman Empire.
"seven heads" = the seven resurrections of the Roman Empire (six has
already occured, the seventh is happening now!!!!)
"ten horns" = the European Union will eventually consist of ten
nations (or ten groups of nations).
The false church riding on the "Holy" Roman Empire is describe below,
being "decked with gold"
4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked
with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her
hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:
REVELATION 17:4
Speaking of the "the great city Babylon"...... (more specifically of
it's destruction!!!)
12 The merchandise of gold, and silver, and precious stones, and of
pearls, and fine linen, and purple, and silk, and scarlet, and all
thyine wood, and all manner vessels of ivory, and all manner vessels
of most precious wood, and of brass, and iron, and marble,
16 And saying, Alas, alas, that great city, that was clothed in fine
linen, and purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold, and precious
stones, and pearls!
REVELATION 18:12,16
GOLD DO PERISH
Now here's some interesting portions of Scriptures relating to the
chemical properties of gold.....
7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold
that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto
praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
I PETER 1:7
3 Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a
witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have
heaped treasure together for the last days.
JAMES 5:3
I have mentioned that gold is extremely "unreactive" and thus it
doesn't usually go rusty like iron. However, under certain
circumstances, gold DO go "rusty" or "cankered" and it does perish.
Indeed gold do react with a range of other elements, causing gold to
be "perisheth" and "cankered" - the elements includes Chlorine,
Flourine, Bromine, Iodine and Oxygen.
GOLD IN HEAVEN
Last but certainly not least, gold is an abundant element in
Heaven!!!!
Jesus Himself was dressed in gold.....
13 And in the midst of the seven candlesticks [one] like unto the Son
of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the
paps with a golden girdle.
REVELATION 1:13
14 And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud [one]
sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and
in his hand a sharp sickle.
REVELATION 14:14
And some of the spirit beings in Heaven wore gold too.....
4 And round about the throne [were] four and twenty seats: and upon
the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white
raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.
REVELATION 4:4
6 And the seven angels came out of the temple, having the seven
plagues, clothed in pure and white linen, and having their breasts
girded with golden girdles.
REVELATION 15:6
And gold is commonly used in utensils and other items.....
8 And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four [and]
twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them
harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of
saints.
REVELATION 5:8
3 And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden
censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should
offer [it] with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which
was before the throne.
REVELATION 8:3
13 And the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the four
horns of the golden altar which is before God,
REVELATION 9:13
15 And he that talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city,
and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof.
REVELATION 21:15
And of course, we all know about the abundance of gold in the New
Jerusalem....
18 And the building of the wall of it was [of] jasper: and the city
[was] pure gold, like unto clear glass.
21 And the twelve gates [were] twelve pearls; every several gate was
of one pearl: and the street of the city [was] pure gold, as it were
transparent glass.
REVELATION 21:18,21
Just imagine the whole streets were made of pure gold!! Here in our
towns and cities, our streets are made of asphalt, and it's so common
that we give no second thought to it - we just walk on it and drive on
it without taking any note of it!!! Just imagine gold being as
abundant as asphalt - you'd walk on the streets of gold, and you'd
never give it second thought!!!! Such is the awesome wonders of the
Kingdom of Heaven!!!!!
NOTE: The expression in the above Scriptures "pure gold" as like
"clear glass" actually highlights another property of gold which is in
fact a test used to determine if "pure gold" really IS pure!! Under
certain physical conditions such as temperature, pure gold does turn
transparent - clear like in glass. This happen only when the gold is
pure - this does not happen if the gold is not pure.
Now we have been given an overview of gold in the Bible, the Bereans
among us will want a more in depth study of gold in the Scriptures. To
this end I have made available the 415 references to gold in the
Bible, with each verse given in it's context - that is, the entire
chapter is published for each verse with the gold verse hilighted in
italics. This will facilitate a CONTEXTURAL study of gold in the
Bible, and answer the question as to whether gold manifestations are
consistent with Scriptural principles.
 GOLD In Scriptures - Chapter-by-Chapter
We have shown that gold is an important element in the Bible, and
indeed is an important element in the affairs of mankind, from it's
beginning in the garden of Eden, right through to the end times, to
the Kingdom of Heaven itself.
We have also seen (confirmed through a Berean study of the Scriptures)
that gold miracles are consistent with Scriptural principles. The
Scriptures does not forbid gold manifestations, the Scriptures simply
warns us against the worshipping of gold (whether it be in relation to
idols or simply putting it's value above that of God). This is nothing
new, we do not worship any Toronto Blessing manifestations.
Therefore, it seems that gold manifestations are of God - this of
course given the belief that the Toronto Blessing is of God.
Of course there are some who questions the authenticity of gold
manifestations. Are any of the gold manifestations fabricated? Are
there any fakes at work? Are gold dust purely and simply common
plastic gold glitter?? Are we making some kind of mistake in regards
to gold teeth miracles??
Let us study to see whether any of the gold manifestations are faked
or as a result in errors of judgment....

WHERE GOLD IS MENTIONED IN THE BIBLE
There are 415 references to the English words "gold" or "golden" in
the King James Version of the Bible. Below I have given the entire
CHAPTERS where gold is mentioned with the specific gold verses given
in italics so to facilitate a CONTEXTURAL study of gold in the Bible.
In most cases the context are obvious!!
Of course many chapters has more than one reference to gold - you will
not end up with 415 chapters here!!!
Come and read for yourself to see that gold manifestations are
consistent with Scriptural principles. For Pharisees and those of us
who believes the Toronto Blessing is of Satan, the onus is on you to
prove that gold manifestations are contrary to Scriptural
principles!!!

GOLD MANIFESTATIONS STIRRING THE CHURCH
The "gold manifestations" occuring at Toronto and other Revival
churches in North America and around the world continues to stir the
Church - the manifestations including gold appearing in people's
teeth, gold dust and flakes appearing in hands, on clothing, in Bibles
and coming out of people's hair.
The Pharisees are saying the gold manifestations are not genuine,
either the people are deliberately fabricating the gold manifestations
in an attempt to maintain interest at Toronto; and/or occultic spirits
(such as those associated with the alchemists of the Dark Ages) are
involved and even if the transformations from base metals to gold are
genuine, they are definitely not of God.
On the other hand, many of us in the Toronto Blessing are attaching
prophetic significance to this current wave of gold manifestations,
many claiming heralding a new phase in the church, being prophetic of
the establishment of God's Kingdom on earth, or being symbollic of the
transferrence of wealth from the wicked into the Church.
ARE SOME OF THEM FAKE?
Now there have been reports where some of the "gold manifestations"
have turned out to be fakes. The Pharisees gleefully seizing such
reports and claiming proof that the Toronto Blessing is definitely of
Satan!!
However it can be shown that in the majority of such "fakes", there
were no deliberate trickery involved but just innocent errors of
judgement made in the emotions of the moment. The Pharisees
conveniently neglect to mention the cases where the gold
manifestations have turned out to be genuine!!
This article I will examine the instances where the "gold miracles"
had been later shown as being not as it seemed. Implications for the
Toronto Blessing will be explored here, and we will answer the
question..... "Does the fact of some gold manifestations later being
shown to be something aside from genuine gold miracles prove that the
Toronto Blessing is of Satan??"
I have dealt with the physical and chemical properties of the element
that is gold showing why base metals such as iron and mercury (or
amalgam fillings in teeth) does not simply turn to gold by natural
processes (chemical or otherwise). And I have given a brief study on
the Scriptural significance of gold - the instances in Scriptures
where gold is mentioned.
BEREANS AND GOLD MANIFESTATIONS
Critics and Pharisees have claimed that we should be like a "Berean"
and test each gold manifestation scientifically to discern whether it
is fake or not. What they're saying is that when we witness a gold
manifestation in someone, whether it be gold teeth, gold dust, gold
flakes, etc, then we should demand a sample of the gold (or the name
of the person's dentist!!) and have it sent away to be scientifically
analysed.
The same Pharisees are also saying, if the sample can't be collected
(due to the minute proportions; or the person refuses or simply unable
to do so) then we should assume the "gold" to be fake and don't give
any glory to God.
We must ask a valid question - is THIS the CORRECT "Berean" approach??
We need to know what would a true Berean do about gold manifestations.
For an insight into the characteristics of a Berean, we need look no
further than the Scriptures - so let us dust of the covers of our
Bibles (and not the clean shiny covers of our denominations' doctrinal
creeds or the Bible Commentaries purchased from the church's book
store!!! *GRIN*!!), remove our rose colored glasses of prejudice, and
let us explore......
10 And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto
Berea: who coming [thither] went into the synagogue of the Jews.
11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they
received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the
scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
12 Therefore many of them believed; also of honourable women which
were Greeks, and of men, not a few.
ACTS 17:10-12
I trust many of us are familiar with this Scripture above - this is in
fact the only instance in Scripture where the Bereans are described.
Notice especially verse 11. What were the Bereans doing which Luke was
so appreciative of? They received the word readily, and the SEARCHED
THE SCRIPTURES to see if what the preacher said (or experienced) is
consistent with Scriptural principles!!!!
What were the Bereans searching?? They were searching the SCRIPTURES!!
They were not searching the laboritories of scientists to see if the
sample of gold produced at their meeting was really genuine gold!!
They were not searching the writings of critics to their church (the
ones who didn't like their style of worship, or who didn't believe the
Holy Spirit would move in THAT way!!!!) to check out instances of
where gold manifestations were not real. They were not listening to
second and third hand reports of people to discern the "truth". NO!!!!
They were searching the SCRIPTURES!!!!!
Still unsure?? Well let us get our Strongs and study the phrase in
verse 11
searched the scriptures
This phrase is translated from two Greek words
anakrino and graphe
anakrino? - translated to searched, this word are given the meanings
of
to examine or judge
investigate, examine, enquire, scrutinise, sift, question, judge,
interrogate,....
So what the Bereans were judging, investigating, examining,
scrutinising, etc???? The next word gives us the answer......
graphe - the definitions thereof are given as
1. a writing, thing written,
2. the Scriptures, either the book itself or it's contents,
3. a certain portion or section of the Holy Scriptures.
The same word (Strong's 1124) is used in II Timothy 3:16 (where we
read that the "Scriptures" (graphe) are inspired by God!!!!) and
numerous other instances where it is translated into the English word
Scripture. Letting the Bible interpret itself, it is obvious that we
are talking about the Holy INSPIRED Word of God!!!
So we have it PROVEN from Scriptures themselves...... Bereans test all
things against the SCRIPTURES!!!! The true Berean would not demand the
gold to be sampled and tested by scientists just to see if it is
genuine!! The Berean would rather search the Scriptures, and see what
the Scriptures say about gold!! They would be searching the Scriptures
for instances where gold is mentioned, and studying the CONTEXT of the
gold Scriptures. They will be studying the Scriptures to see if the
gold manifestations are consistent with Scriptural principles.
Now I'm definitely NOT saying that it is therefore wrong to have gold
samples scientifically tested. It is often appropriate to have
instances of gold teeth miracles examined by dentists. Sometimes a
dentist is present in the meeting and so is able to immediately
discern whether the gold teeth miracles are genuine. And sometimes it
is appropriate to have samples of "gold dust" analysed and tested.
HOWEVER this should NOT be our ultimate authority on the authenticity
of gold miracles. Scientific analysis can sometimes be flawed, and it
is just not always possible to have gold manifestations sampled and
analysed. We should not use scientific results to cast doubts on gold
miracles, nor should we use such data to "prove" that the Toronto
Blessing is of Satan. We definitely should not demand "scientific
evidence" on each and every instance of gold manifestations occuring.
Our ultimate authority are the Scriptures!!! And since gold
manifestations are NOT contrary to Scriptural principles, there is no
reason to discourage such manifestations. The TRUE Bereans among us
will studying each of the Scripture references, studying the CONTEXT
of each Scripture, and with the help of the Holy Spirit discerning
God's perspective on the element that is gold.
To be sure, there are documented cases where "gold manifestations"
have been shown to be not authentic. Let us explore and see whether
this mean that the Toronto Blessing is of Satan.....
GOLD TEETH
As I have mentioned in a previous article, it is just about impossible
to "fake" gold teeth miracles. Here we have a person entering a
meeting with dark grey amalgam fillings in his teeth, he is prayed for
in a ministry prayer line, someone shine a flash light into his mouth,
and there you see GOLD in the teeth where the ugly grey amalgam
previously was!!
There is simply no way this could be fabricated in any way by any
sleight of hand. Furthermore, amalgam fillings purely and simply does
not turn to gold spontaneously by any natural means, chemical or
otherwise. Gold is an "element" meaning it cannot be formed from other
substances simply through chemical processes (unless the original
substance contained gold, and any dentist will tell you that amalgams
do not contain gold!!)
So in regards to amalgam fillings in teeth turning to gold at church
meetings, we have a case of genuine miraculous transmutation here -
something which occurs through means outside of our physical
scientific understanding, in other words, a genuine MIRACLE!!!!
The only question we have is, whether the person already had gold
fillings in his teeth before the meeting and he just forgot about it
(or as the Pharisees like to put it, he already knew he had gold
fillings but he deliberately hid the fact to fake the alleged
miracle).
In fact, there have been few instances where a person simply forgot he
already had gold fillings and so mistakenly took it as a miracle when
after he was prayed for, he happened to look in his mouth and found
gold in his teeth. I have reports of such incidences. However in each
case, the mistake was genuine - the person did NOT seek to fabricate
the miracle.
There were some who had gold fillings put in their teeth over ten
years ago - only the most mean-hearted Pharisee would expect the
person to remember he already had gold fillings before he came to the
meeting!! Afterall, how many of us regularly examine our mouths
(especially our back molar teeth where most fillings are located)?? We
examine our mouths only when we have something wrong with it, or when
we are at a meeting and hearing reports of gold teeth miracles
happening within that meeting!!
Such cases are in the minority, and there are indeed many cases where
the gold teeth miracle has been authenticated. Dentists have indeed
check the records of their patients and have verified that they did
not originally receive gold fillings, only dark amalgam fillings which
had miraculously turned to gold during a church Renewal meeting (or
when watching a video from Toronto!!!!!) In many cases, the dentists
could not explain how the teeth turned to gold!! For example, in a
report "Gold At Langley Vineyard" by Iain Lovatt we have quoted
During ministry time we had people look in each others mouths first,
before we prayed, asked them to lay hands on themselves, prayed, and
had people check after. We saw over 38 people come forward saying they
had received some creative miracle in there mouth. Our lead pastor,
Jesse Padgett asked for these people to go get verification from their
dentists
And furthermore.....
And now we have people with dental records and verification from their
dentists saying that the "work" done in their mouths could not be
humanly done, or they did not do the work, or their tooth was black
and ugly and now its gold!
Check the CONTEXT. The FULL COPY of the above report.
In another report - "Demonstration Of God's Power Ministry with Bobby
Conner", reporting gold teeth miracles in people's mouths, we have
another quote.....
One lady in Skiatook went to her dentist the next morning and he said
"I can not explain it!" you now have a gold filling, this is something
I have not put in your mouth.
Check the CONTEXT. The FULL COPY of the above report.
Furthermore in another report, this one by Leslie Moore, we learn of a
dentist being actually present in the meeting.....
A dentist was in the meetings and was brought up to describe what she
was seeing. She said that many of the new crowns and fillings looked
like white gold, which was helpful since most of us have no reasonable
experience with dental materials
Check the CONTEXT. The FULL COPY of the above report.
So while we have instances where the person simply forgot he already
had gold fillings, we indeed do have reports of genuine gold teeth
miracles verified by dentists usually through dental records.
Do the instances of gold miracles being shown to be not authentic
prove that the Toronto Blessing is of Satan??
Does the instances of genuine miracles authenticated by dentists prove
that the Toronto Blessing is genuinely of God??
Actually all this proves is that certain spiritual entities with
higher powers and intelligence can and DO perform such miracles, and
we humans sometimes make mistakes and make assumptions that are
mistaken!!! The only question remains is whether the higher spiritual
entities are of God or Satan - this depends upon whether you believe
the Toronto Blessing is of God or not.
The case of Silvania Machado is being used by Pharisees in their
desperate attempts to prove that the Toronto Blessing is of Satan.
Follow the link below to see what the fuss is all about, and check &
see as Bereans whether the Pharisees are correct on this count!!

GOLD DUST OR NOT?
Many of you will be familiar with the testimony of Silvania Machado -
A Brazilian woman who had been afflicted with a terminal disease and
was miraculously healed by God. Since the healing, "gold dust" had
been falling out from her hair, enough to have been able to be
gathered up in piles in one's hands. A video showing this
manifestation has been circulating around the internet - I have a copy
of the video, and I'm sure some of you will have a copy also.
And there will be many a Pharisee partying in celebration mode on
discovery of reports such as that which appeared in the "Charisma"
magazine where at least two independent tests of the "gold dust" by
the U.S. Geological Survey in Washington, D.C. showed that it was not
gold at all nor did it contain any gold (and platinum and silver) at
all. Regarding the "Charisma" article, the report is quoted as saying
the dust from Machado's hair "to be more like plastic glitter". The
entire text of the article is available below.....
 The Article From "Charisma" Magazine
So what do we make of this report? Do the Pharisees have reason to
celebrate? Is Machado a fake or a con artist? Does it mean we should
not believe any reports of gold teeth or gold dust miracles? Does it
mean the Toronto Blessing is of Satan? Let us explore further.....
Firstly, are the two independent tests correct?? That is a valid
question. At this time I have no information regarding the nature of
the tests? Which methods were employed to carry out the tests? Were
there any spectral analyses of the dust samples, or any mass
spectrometry used? Did the tests establish the atomic composition and
structure of the dust sample? If any one of you have any detailed
information regarding these tests or the URLs linked to the
information, please feel free to send them to me!!
Nevertheless, in the absence of any such further information and for
the purpose of this article, I will make the assumption that the tests
are genuine, and the dust from Machado's hair does not contain any
gold. Furthermore, I would naturally expect the U.S Geological Survey
to have some integrity, although of course the fact of such a
prestigious organisation is by no means a final authority on this
matter!! :) :) :)
PLASTIC OR NOT?
The article is quoted as saying the gold dust "to be more like plastic
glitter", and "were deemed to be plastic film with no traces of gold,
platinum or silver". Here in these two quotes, we have the word
"plastic" used.
Now what do we normally associate "plastic" with?? For example, a
child has two toy cars - one made of metal and one made of plastic.
Which car would you expect to be the cheap model? Which car would you
expect to be a cheap imitation thereof? Which car would you expect to
break and malfunction more easily? The PLASTIC car of course!!
We have an image of "plastic" as being "cheap" and to be only an
"imitation" of the real thing. The presence of plastic trees in
offices, plastic animals in children's farm yard models, and plastic
fishes in imitation aquariums reinforces the common view that plastics
are associated with "cheapness" and "make believe".
So when we read a report quoting that the "gold dust" from Machado's
hair to be just "plastic", we subconsciously associate this with that
being a cheap imitation or fake, and thus we tend to conclude that
Machado is somehow using trickery to produce this alleged
manifestation, that Machado is nothing but a charlatan or con artist,
and thus all "gold manifestations" to be suspect.
However we need to be mature enough to think past such conclusion and
study this more closely. Just what is the substance that we call
"plastic"? Like all substances, plastic composes of atoms that are the
basic unit of the 92 chemical elements we find naturally occuring in
the universe. Plastic mainly consist of atoms of carbon, oxygen,
hydrogen, nitrogen, chlorine, bromine, and several others - these
atoms are arranged in the proportions and configurations that give
plastics their familiar properties.
Plastics are easy to make, easy to mold, easy to add colored dyes to,
and are light - which explains the abundance of plastics and the ease
in which "plastic imitations" can be made of genuine articles.
Now there are plenty of other substances that are made up of these
same atoms, yet are in different proportions and configurations so
that the substances are different. For example, the human body is also
made up of the same atoms as most plastics, yet none of us would
consider the human body to be "cheap" and an "imitation" of something
genuine - in fact even secular medical science recognises the human
body to be something of a miracle. The fact that no one has been able
to produce a living cell (the smallest living component of the human
body) just from it's raw materials speak for itself!! Of course we
Christians know better!! :) :) The human body is a total sign of the
glory and majesty of God who created us!!
What am I getting at here?? If the "plastic glitter" from Machado's
hair are made up of the same elements as the human body, then we have
the real possibility that the "gold dust" could actually be somehow
produced by her body, somehow in her hair or from her scalp - this by
processes which are yet unknown to science.
The dust may not be "plastic gold glitter" as we commonly know but a
totally different substance that may appear somewhat as "plastic
glitter" - and as prestigious as the U.S Geological Survey is, the
department consists of fallible human beings who may have been forced
to conclude it was "plastic glitter" when confronted with a substance
that they were not familiar with. This is one reason why I am
interested if a "mass spectrometer" was used in the analysis - this
machine is capable of analysing substances down to it's atomic
composition.
Of course it is possible that the woman could be a con artist!! She
could have gold glitter stashed up her arms underneath the sleeves of
her top which is released as she brushes her hair. An honest frame by
frame analysis of the video could reveal this, but to my knowledge, no
such analysis has been made. In any case, Pharisees are very good at
distorting the facts and fabricating the "evidence", so I prefer to
leave it up to God if the woman is faking the phenomenon. The
Scripture declares....
Numbers 32:23 But if ye will not do so, behold, ye have sinned against
the LORD: and be sure your sin will find you out.
If Machado is faking the gold dust and is thus sinning, she will
either be driven by guilt to confess, or circumstances will eventually
conspire to uncover her deeds. The Scriptures also declares......
Mark 4:22 For there is nothing hid, which shall not be manifested;
neither was any thing kept secret, but that it should come abroad.
So until God reveals to me any evidence that Machado is using trickery
to produce the "gold dust" manifestation, I will continue to assume
the woman is genuine and the phenomenon is something that is at least
highly unusual. God would not be given any less glory if the
phenomenon is biological, as unusual as it is, rather than being
directly of divine origin. Fact of the matter is, the woman has been
miraculously healed from a terminal disease, and the phenomenon began
when she was healed.
MACHADO'S "GOLD DUST" PHENOMENON IS NOT UNIQUE
According to the same Charisma article, the "gold dust" manifestation
is not unique to Machado herself. Let me quote a paragraph from the
article....
"The curious occurrence is happening elsewhere. Revivalist Ruth
Heflin--who first brought Machado to the United States after hearing
about her ministry--regularly sees the same manifestation at her
meetings. She believes the dust is a sign of God's glory."
Evidently, the "gold dust" manifestation is also occuring within
Heflin's ministry who was responsible for introducing Machado to North
America. Heflin believes the manifestation is a sign of the imminency
of Christ's second coming. This fits in well with the common tendency
for Toronto Blessing manifestations to be "transferrable" depending
upon the personality. For example, ministries touched by Rodney
Howard-Brown's ministry tend to exhibit the "holy laughter"
manifestation, and those touched by Kilpatrick and Hill from Pensacola
tend to exhibit the weeping manifestation and experience deep
repentance from sins.
Despite Pharisees' claims to the contrary, such "transferrences of
anointing" DO have Scriptural precedent - we only have to study the
occurence of the tongues manifestation which was exhibited at the
first ever revival meeting in the church age - in Acts 2. Then in Acts
10 when Peter (who was at the original revival meeting in Acts 2) was
preaching to a group of Gentiles, they also received the tongues
anointing.
Now the Pharisees can argue all they like, dot their "i"s and cross
their "t"s all they like, but when you honestly get down to it, this
is no different to the phenomenon of people being overcome with holy
laughter when Rodney Howard-Browne is preaching to them!!!
Anyway, back to Machado and Heflin's ministry, the fact of the "gold
dust" manifestation happening within Heflin's ministry seems to be yet
another occurence of the "transferrence of anointing". It's not so
much as to whether the dust is real gold or not, but the fact of
something unusual is definitely happening.
Of course it could be that they all are faking the phenomenon too, all
purchasing gold dust vials, hiding them up their sleeves, and
releasing the dust. However, in the absence of concrete evidence and
until further information is received, I prefer to give the benefit of
the doubt! :) :) :)
MACHADO AND JOHN ARNOTT
Machado was originally scheduled for a four day meeting at the Toronto
Airport church, however the senior pastor John Arnott canceled the
meeting after hearing the results of another scientific test of the
"gold dust". I quote from the same Charisma article.....
"In May, John Arnott of the Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship (TACF)
canceled a scheduled four-day appearance by Machado after sending a
sample of the flecks that cascaded from her head on the first night
for testing. A geochemist at the University of Toronto concluded the
specks did not contain any gold or platinum but were some type of
plastic film."
In spite of Pharisees'c claims to the contrary, John Arnott is
interested in maintaining the integrity of the Toronto Airport church.
It must be noted Arnott was NOT judging Machado to be a fake or
involved in trickery in any way, it was just that Arnott was unsure
how to reconcile the scientific findings on the dust with the apparent
miraculous appearance of the dust. Fact is, most people who would have
been at the Toronto meetings would still believe the dust to be
genuine gold. Contrary to Pharisee's claims, Arnott is not interested
in any kind of imitation nor is he interested in deceiving the people.
The Charisma article later quoted Arnott.....
"I didn't want to have her [Machado] here because we have had far too
much of the real thing--gold teeth and gold dust--to have something
suspect,"
Pharisees can accuse Arnott and the Toronto church all they like of
trickery and magician acting regarding the gold phenomenon, however I
have just presented DOCUMENTARY EVIDENCE to the contrary - Arnott is
interested only in what he understands to be genuine works of God,
including that in regards to gold manifestations, he is not willing to
risk inviting to the pulpit any person whose "gold manifestation" is
suspect in any way.
GOLD VERSUS GOD'S POWER
It must be noted again Arnott did not necessarily condemn Machado to
be a con artist or that she deliberately set out to deceive the
people. Perhaps we may need to learn the lesson - just to purely see
God in the manifestation and let's not make it conditional on there
being any gold.
During the Israelite's 40 years in the wilderness, they were not
looking for gold when God supplied them with manna six days each week
- they were just looking for something to eat to sustain them
throughout the 40 years!! The Machado phenomenon need not necessarily
be any less miraculous despite the absence of gold!!
Let us remember - here we have a woman miraculously healed from a
terminal disease, and thereafter it appears we are witnessing a most
unusual phenomenon of some kind of "gold colored" dust falling from
her hair. Whether the dust is somehow produced from her hair or scalp;
or whether it is produced divinely, this would make no difference -
fact is, we don't have gold colored dust falling out of people's hair
every day!! This could very well indeed be some kind of sign from God.
Quoting from the Charisma article once again......
"One of those attending a meeting at Heflin's Calvary Pentecostal
Tabernacle told the newspaper that chemical components of the dust
were meaningless to her faith"
And furthermore.....
"Perhaps we should call it 'glory dust' instead of 'gold dust'"
This last statement best sum up what I am trying to say here!! We are
not to necessarily worry about whether there is actual gold or not,
but to just be grateful that God chooses to move in our midst
regardless of the elemental composition of any physical matter created
as a result!!
It is also beneficial to learn of God's perspective on the elemental
substance that is gold. The rarity of the element in the earth's
crust, combined with it's color, chemical properties, and the ease in
which it can be molded into what we consider to be beautiful artifacts
give gold it's value and status in the economy of man.
However, according to the Scriptures, the very STREETS of the "New
Jerusalem" (in the Kingdom of Heaven) are paved with gold!! In other
words, it seems that gold in God's domain is as common as asphalt on
our streets in this world today. Therefore, if man's society had been
established in God's domain rather than this earth, we would view gold
to be common and virtually without value in the economy - just like
black asphalt on our streets here!!!
Therefore as part of the qualification process to enter into God's
Kingdom, perhaps it would be well for us not to focus so much on gold,
but more on the fact that God is moving and manifesting at all -
sometimes gold is produced, sometimes other substances are produced -
it does not matter.
QUESTIONS ANSWERED
Now let us review and answer the questions asked at the beginning of
this article.....
Do the Pharisees have reason to celebrate?
No! Pharisees tend to emphasise the NEGATIVE. They begin with a
starting belief that the Toronto Blessing is of Satan, and the
"miracles" are automatically fabricated. Their views are based on
these UNFOUNDED starting beliefs.
Is Machado a fake or a con artist?
I like to give the benefit of the doubt. We need to believe the
Scriptures which tells us sinners are eventually found out - I prefer
to leave this process to God! Unless and until God reveals otherwise,
I will assume Machado is exhibiting genuinely unusual phenomenon.
Does it mean we should not believe any reports of gold teeth or gold
dust miracles?
No! Each case must be discerned on it's merits. Where it is imposiible
to test for accuracy, we need to give the benefit of the doubt. We
should not insist that each and every case to be "scientifically
tested".
Does it mean the Toronto Blessing is of Satan?
No!! Even if each and every gold manifestation were proven to be
fabricated, it does NOT mean the Toronto Blessing is of Satan - it
only proves that those of us embracing the Toronto Blessing are
HUMANS!!!!!
