 The letter from Paul to the Colossians
Q: To whom was the letter written?
A: To the saints and followers of Christ at Colosse.
 
Q: When was the letter to the Colossians written?
A: More than likely it was written around 62 A.D.
 
Q: What is the main emphasis of the letter?
A: To teach against the false doctrines that has already invaded the church at Colosse.
 
Q: What instructions did Paul leave with the Colossians?
A: That they should know that Christ is above all things.  That in Christ all knowledge is, and if Christ be in you, the hope of glory is there.  That in Christ all men can be
    free. That we should set our minds above these earthly things and on to things that are above as Christ is above and sits at the right hand of God.  That because
   Christ forgave us, we must be willing to forgive others.  That whatever we do....do in the Name of the Lord Jesus!
 
The Letter of James
Q: To whom was the letter written?
A: We are not sure of the exact date.  Some say as early as 44 A.D. and others say as late as 62 A.D.
 
Q: To whom was the letter written?
A: To all the 12 tribes and which were scattered about.
 
Q: What is the main emphasis of the letter?
A: Basically it was written to warn against conforming to the ways and wiles of the world. 
 
Q: What did James mean by conforming to the ways of the world?
A: In a nutshell, he meant that we should understand that we are alive on this earth but a short time and we are not to become attached to the riches and ways of the
     world around us.  We should count it joy to be alive and working for the Lord.  We should say to the Lord, "If the Lord will..."
