What is the deadliest drug in America today? Is it Crack Cocaine? Meth? Marijuana? ........NO! It's ALCOHOL !
Here are some sad interesting facts about alcohol and it's effects.
In the Vietnam war over 57,000 brave American soldiers lost their lives. This in itself is a horrible tragedy and a great loss. But, the amazing other loss that is rarely spoken about is....... over 2,000,000 Americans were killed by alcohol or the effects of the drink during this same time frame. An amazing number to be sure. These numbers were during a 9 year period. Yet....NO protest or blast from the news media was heard concerning the deaths attributed to alcohol.
The alcohol industry spends over 421,000,000 dollars a QUARTER on advertising ! That's every 3 months! That's over 1 BILLION per year on advertising for alcohol ! (research done by

A person loses their life approximately every 10-12 minutes due to alcohol (majority are from drunk drivers)
In just One Year, alcohol will kill 88,000 Americans on our highways
There are over 14,000,000 alcoholics in the United States today.
According to one survey, victims of Alcohol are as follows:
50% of automobile deaths
80% of fire deaths
65% of drownings
22% of home accidents
77% of falls
36% of pedestrian accidents
40% of assaults
35% of rapes
30% of other sex crimes
65% of murders
80% of all arrests
30% of suicides
55% of domestic violence
60% of child abuse
90% of divorces
Alcohol cost tax payers approximately $249 Billion per year as of 2009
WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY ABOUT ALCOHOL ?
Proverbs 23 says: "Who hath Woe? Who hath sorrow? Who hath contentions? Who hath babbling? Who hath wounds without cause? Who hath redness of eyes? ....They that tarry long at the wine; they that seek mixed wine."
1 Corinthians 6:9-10 says: "Be not deceived. No Drunkards,...shall inherit the Kingdom of God."
