Ephesians 4:30 ..... And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity and probably the least understood member of the Godhead. Christians can easily identify with God the Father and His Son, Jesus. Keep in mind that the Holy Spirit will not do all the work for us. We have our responsibility to do our part. We must continue in reading the Holy Word ( the Bible) and we must continue in Prayer, asking the Holy Spirit to show us the truth of God's Word and teach us how to live according to the Word of God.
The Holy Spirit "Will never prompt us to do anything that goes against Scripture". Sometimes people try to justify their actions by saying that "My conscience told me...", We need to learn the difference between our conscience and the prompting of the Holy Spirit, and the way to judge this is by the Holy Word of God.
The Holy Spirit was first mentioned in the SECOND verse of the Bible. Genesis 1:2 , Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.

The Holy Spirit counsels and encourages Christians as the battle temptations of the world and the forces of Satan.
